The Crafty Crow: Cut out and keep skeleton

Cassi from The Crafty Crow asked me to contribute to her “A Book & A Craft Series” which lasts the whole month of June. Check it out….there are a few lovely posts already there so I reckon it’s going to be a cracking month.

One of my all time favorite books is Funnybones by Janet Ahlberg. I have such fond memories of that book as a child and my two boys adore it also.

For some reason I always wanted to make a life-size (well, child-size) paper skeleton so here are the results.

  1. Kate, you never cease to amaze me with your gorgeous and ingenious work. This skeleton is no exception. So great!

  2. Thanks Celine….I like it too! I’ll write a post about it in the next day or so…just ironing out a few problems!!

  3. Just what I was looking for! My 5 yr old asked to learn about ‘bones’ so I thought of a skeleton for the front door since it Halloween time, but labeled with the basic bones since I don’t like scary on my door. This is perfect! Thank you!

  4. This is great. I remember doing something like it at school when I was younger. I particulary love your smaller pictures as it looks like the skeleton has an eye! Lol.
