Geometric snowman

Hello. Hope all your Christmas preparations are going well…I can’t believe how quickly November is racing by!

I’ve been making some paper snowmen. They are perfect to use as tree decorations – or would look great on a shelf. All you need to do is print out the templates and then cut, fold and glue them together. PDF’s are at the foot of the post.

I am nearing the end of my teacher training course {which I think I have mentioned before} and life is a little crazy. The site will probably be very quiet over the coming months until life settles down again πŸ™ If I don’t post again before Christmas I really hope you all have a very happy holiday.

HOW TO

1. Print out your snowman (the pdf at bottom of post). Make sure you set your printing preferences to β€˜photo’ and β€˜best photo’. Cut around the outside of the shapes.

2. Take the head and body pieces and score along the light grey lines using a ruler and pointy object (such as compass or needle). Fold along each of these lines. Glue together

3. Cut and fold the nose.

4. Glue the nose onto the head and the head onto the body. There is also an optional hat that you can make if you want to.

Cheerio for now
Kate ^_^

  1. Hello Kate.
    How are you?

This snowman is perfect!! Simple and beautiful.
The exact inspiration I needed for my Christmas decorations.
This will look so lovely on my house’s windows! πŸ˜€
I’ve been so busy preparing watercolors, that I almost forgot how good it is to prepare some projects with paper.
Remember your watermelon garland? I’m changing it a bit, so that it becomes Christmas related garland… the snowman will work perfectly with it. Or even as a gift with a Christmas postcard…

    Have a beautiful weekend.

  2. Thanks for such a nice comment JosΓ©.

Please send me a photo when you have finished – I would love to see. Hope the painting is going well too – I spend too much time with paper and would love to do some painting soon (I wish there were many more hours in the day). Happy weekend to you too.

    Kate ^_^

  3. Kate, thanks for sharing your beautiful and unique snowman, it is sweetly designed by Kate, I always love your designs with paper, they are so entertaining and so lovely. I also take this chance to wish you all the best with your coming days, settling down with new terns to come, and, of course, Merry Christmas to you in advise, in case you won’t be haven’t any further email pop into my email. Probably Happy New Year as well, enjoy everyday.

  4. Thank you so much! Love this snowman!! I wish I had found it sooner. I had to come up with a “snow” related craft for my son’s Winter Party last Friday. We ended up making some fancy snowflakes. Definitely holding on to this idea for a future party or rainy day activity. Thanks!

  5. Would you suggest printing this on to 11×17? I did it today on regular printer paper and it was much too small and got to hard to fold. I want to do this with my grade 4’s but thinking it might be too hard for them…Maybe not if it was on 11 x 17? What do you suggest?

  6. Hi Kate!

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing this craft tutorial. Love the geometric design + look! Amazing. πŸ™‚

  7. It’s incredible, right – how fast time flies. I made these geometric snowmen years ago and now its nearly Christmas 2023 and here I am making more snowmen to decorate the house for Christmas! I just got my garden redesigned an amazing company at https://larixlandscape.com/ and so while I hope it doesn’t snow too much I think these little paper snowmen will look great in the garden if I make them out of the thicker paper. Thanks again for spreading some holiday cheer.

  8. Hi!! I am a student and I LOVED this snowman. When I got home I made 5 more! Thank you for sharing these awsome ideas with us πŸ™‚
