Craft tutorials and free templates

Giftwrap // Paper Donut!

Happy new year everyone. Hope you all had a lovely time. Sorry it’s taken me so long to get a post up (I win the prize for being the least consistent blogger!).

Giftwrap // Paper donut // Free template!

Just before Christmas I had an email from a reader requesting a donut template. I am a huge fan of donuts so here we are. It’s a pretty fun template and would make a cute giftbox.

(If you happen to love donuts as much as I do then check out studiodiy.com for lots of other donut related crafts!)

By the way MiniEco turned 4 last week! (I wonder how old that is in blog years?!)

YOU WILL NEED:

+ Printable template [PDF]
+ Thin white card
+ Scissors
+ Ruler
+ Glue

HOW TO
– – – – – – –

1. Print out the PDF. Set your printing preferences to ‘photo’ or ‘best photo’. Cut around the outside of the template.

2. Score along the white lines using a ruler and pointy object (such as compass or needle). Fold along each of these lines.

3. Glue the ‘donut hole’ together and stick onto the main template. Stick the tabs down on one side of the template but remember to leave one tab open if you want to use it as a giftbox. Glue the lid down.

4. Cram with little goodies. Job done!

thank you for the sharing of your brilliant idea and free template.
    very generously of you;-D

  2. It looks so tasty ; ) Working on these ones right now, hopefully it will become an doughnut-garland in my kitchen, where else? 😉

A wish popped up, what about doughnuts with chocolate glaze (brown color)? (my favorite!) Or in other flavors/colors?

  3. Hi, thank you I love it. I love boxes I make a lot of them so now I have another one to add to my collection.

  4. Rafia,

My last reply to you still stands ^_^

I do think there are enough images here to be able to make this project (even if you have little experience).

  5. These would be so great for Fat Tuesday or Punchki Day as it is known around here. That has to be an official donut day on your calendar.

  6. OMG:) I just made one as a present for my friend’s b-day they are so cute and I can not wait to give it to her, you come out with the coolest and cutest of things

  7. Hi! Thank-you,thank you! I am truly grateful of your website. Having the opportunity to have these wonderful templates available, has been a relief. I had needed some new inspirational art projects for my after school art activity course, that I sponsor, of no charge, to an elementary school (of 3rd and 4th graders)close to home. Your art and crafts that are posted on your website, are most, most delightful, adorable and just fun-tastic!! The children are so, so happy to have these tutorials that are achievable in a short period of time…they have something to show and still have play time, too.
    Thank you very kindly, Fabi

  8. can you make a version of the donut with no colors in it?? because i want to customize it! 🙂 thanks!
