DIY play envelopes & stamps

When my boys were younger they used to love making little letters. I’ve put together an all-in-one envelope template and play stamps in the hope that it might inspire a little one that you know to create some snail mail too!

You can make a little postbox if you want. There are some great examples on pinterest.

By the way, I’ve been making a few changes around here in order to make my website mobile friendly so it may look a bit different to usual. I hope you like it!

1. Print out the all-in-one template (the pdf is at bottom of post). Set your printing preferences to ‘photo’ and ‘grayscale’. Cut around the outside of the template.

2. Score along the dotted lines and fold. You can now write your letter!

3. When you have finished your letter fold the letter up and tuck the flap in between the two layers of paper. This will secure the envelope at the sides.

4. Don’t forget the address and stamp

5. Write wonderful letters to all your favorite people!

Origami fortune teller (aka chatterbox!)

Remember these? I used to spend loads of time as a kid making paper fortune tellers. I’ve been making them with my little ones lately and they like them as much as I do.

I’ve designed this fruity version if you want to have a go! I’ve left the message area blank – it’s more fun to write your own I think!

If you are not sure how to use a paper fortune teller then check out this video by Liam. (By the way my colours are pink, purple, red and orange – represented by the fruit!).

It seems that fruity designs are everywhere at the moment – look out for more fruity DIY’s and a fruit related crafty envy post next week.

DIY Ladybird Party Invite

Hello! I’m back and blowing the dust off this blog! Sorry it’s been so long. Life well and truly got in the way! I hope you are all well?!

I’ve seen a few of these ladybird invites around and wanted to have a go at making some. They are very cute and perfect for a summer party. (I’ve been very minimal and haven’t put any eyes on mine – but it would be easy to glue some wobbly eyes on if you wanted to).

I also thought this would make a great 30 minute craft project for young children so I’ve made a colour-in version that you can print off.

I hope you are all having a lovely summer. We are basking in the sunshine in the UK at the moment which is lovely!
