Giveaway ♥ OKIDO magazine

I‘m dead excited to be doing a giveaway for four issues of OKIDO magazine. Check it out, I’m sure you’ll agree it makes a refreshing change to the other kids’ mags on the market.

Okido magazine

If you haven’t come across this cool little magazine before then here are the facts:

♥ OKIDO is an art and science magazine for children aged 2-7 years-old.
♥ OKIDO magazine is educational and fun.
♥ OKIDO stimulates scientific ideas through art, play and experimentation.
♥ Messy Monster, Squirrel Boy, Yoga Monkey and Zim Zam Zoom among others fire the imagination, stir curiosity and inspire inventiveness by engaging children in lively scientific inquiry and arts activities.

Okido magazine

Each issue is a little work of art and what I like most is that it’s funny! My eldest son (3.5) and I have been reading the ‘Body Noises’ edition together and it’s been a right laugh. He’s happy to discuss farting and burping till the cows come home….!

Okido magazine

You can buy OKIDO in WHSmiths and Waterstones (UK). You can also buy it worldwide…check out their stockists page. If you are struggling to find it near you then do subscribe. I reckon it would make an ace present.

Silver Jungle Books winner

A big thanks to all the lovely people who entered my Silver Jungle Books giveaway. Well done Kate Taylor and Knitlass – you are the winners. I’ll be contacting you by email today. If you didn’t win but still love these delightful books then check out their website.

Giveaway ♥ Silver Jungle Books

I’m delighted to be giving away two sets of these adorable books by Silver Jungle. Not only are they super cute but each book is connected to a conservation project.

I Choose Yew is small and fun with striking illustrations from Lisa Jones Studio. Different animals, from a whale to a worm, show their mischievous side in rhyme.

I’d Chew Yew! was designed as a companion for I Choose You! This time the cast animals includes a penguin, a polar bear, a cheeky clam and a cheery caterpillar. A couple of dangerous carnivores have also crept in … to give the book a little more ‘bite’!

Silver Jungle books are hoping to plant a real Silver Jungle in the Caledonian forest in Scotland, where beaver, lynx. moose and wild boar once roamed. Fragments of the former forest remain, and the charity Trees for Life has ambitious plans to restore them. Sales of I’d Chew Yew! (when bought directly from Silver Jungle) will contribute to the planting of aspen and silver birch. People can also add their own tree by visiting treesforlife.org.uk.
