Melting paper snowman

Hello folks! I made this paper snowman last year and thought it would be funny to make a melting version (inspired by these biscuits!).

It’s been 3 or 4 years since we have had a good covering of snow in the South West of England so I have my fingers crossed for some this year!

+ Good quality A4 paper
+ Scissors
+ Ruler
+ Something pointy (to score your paper with)
+ Glue

HOW TO

1. Print out the snowman pdf. Make sure you set your printing preferences to ‘photo’ and ‘best photo’. Cut around the outside of the body, head and nose.

2. Take the head and score along the light grey lines using a ruler and pointy object (such as compass or needle). Fold along each of these lines. Glue together

3. Cut and fold the nose.

4. Glue the nose onto the head and the head onto the body.

Cheerio for now

  1. This little guy is adorable! And he’s so easy to create. Definitely agree on something pointy for scoring the paper. You get such better folds. One of the best things to do is purchase a good bone tool. There are plastic ones that you can get at craft stores for about $3-4, and they’ll get the job done. Then there are some for $8 that are made of actual bone, and these are even nicer. Books by Hand Bone Folder is one that we’ve personally used, and we can tell you it’s definitely worth the purchase.

  2. I can’t do this craft even though I do but I don’t have access to a printer. If you make a non-printable version of this craft I’ll be over the MOON!!!

  3. Your melting paper snowman is absolutely adorable! It’s such a creative twist on the classic snowman idea. I’m also hoping for a snowy holiday season here in the South West. Fingers crossed! Wishing you all the best with your Christmas preparations too!
